I was inspired by the stories of the Hindu God Shiva, then I immediately set to pick the concept as an art commemorate the doodle design. He is one of the most complex characters among Indian Gods and maybe that is what makes him so interesting.
Shiva is the third God in the Hindu triumvirate. The triumvirate consists of three gods who are responsible for the creation, upkeep and destruction of the world. The other two gods are Brahma and Vishnu.
The Crescent Moon

Shiva personally kept the crescent moon on his head in order to increase his glory for a fortnight.

The Flower

Primula is among the first flowers to bloom in the valleys of the Himalayas. The flowers bloom in March, and throughout July.

Damru

Shiva, the God carries Trident in his hand, and a damru is attached to the trident.

Brahma is the creator of the universe while Vishnu is the preserver of it. Shiva's role is to destroy the universe in order to re-create it.
Necklace

Lord Shiva show us that the snake three rounds around Lord Shiva's neck depicts future, present and past. That states that Lord Shiva is Independent of Time and controls time.

Sun

The God Shiva is called Soma_Suryagni Lochana, means the Energy / fire present in Moon and Sun is Shiva.

The Mountain

The Himalaya is the place where Shiva accumulates his Tapas (inner strength which arises out of asceticism).

THE PROCESS I find it valuable to always focus on what i do first rather than get booged down in the technique / how we draw. I think this is a good example of how continually iterating in the sketch phase can lead to the final result, as ultimately none of these sketches captured the final artwork for the design. The final illustration for the doodle is below, though, and you can see traces of the initial concepts in the final output — which I wouldn't have gotten to without the three rounds of sketch ideation prior.
STYLE I thought of brininging flat design, it is a minimalistic modern style of graphic design, which uses a minimum of elements and excludes any types of complex colors, gradients, highlights and other shiny, textured, shadowed effects.
